Nick Mavar, a deckhand on the Discovery Channel's popular reality series "Deadliest Catch," has passed away. Mavar, 50, died on Thursday, June 13, in Naknek, Alaska, according to the Bristol Bay Police Chief.

Mavar appeared on "Deadliest Catch" for 16 seasons, from 2005 to 2021. He was known for his hard work and dedication, and was a trusted member of Captain Sig Hansen's crew on the F/V Northwestern.
